Derek has worked with iQ as our senior visual designer since 2007, specialising in web and mobile user interface design, rich media, animation, motion graphics and Flash. He works collaboratively with our interaction designers and clients to merge best-practice usability and accessibility with brand requirements, turning wireframes into finished designs.

With iQ Derek has worked on designs for Goodyear, Vodafone, Permanent TSB (including the Spendometer app), Aviva, Airtricity and Citibank. In his independent work with his company Flavour9 Design he is also the Visual Design lead for Daft.ie and has won a number of Golden Spider Awards.

He’s also a talented photographer (he’s the one behind all the images on the iQ site), and he’s part of the unofficial iQ Motorcycle club with Ciaran, Colm and Lynsey.
