Conor Normile / Lead Content Strategist
Conor spends his days editorial planning for complex organisations, marrying marketing and user experience design. He's the senior content strategist for Goodyear EMEA, one of our biggest clients. He works with brand executives, product owners and technical teams, defining messaging, product content and positioning and marketing assets for their B2C purchase funnel.
He's really interested in the interplay between marketing - "the most impactful way to get a message across" - and instructional design - "the most effective way to impart knowledge." He brings this interplay to clients whose products need explanation as well as promotion.
He knows a lot about instructional design: before he joined iQ he was the director of a start-up called Dynamite Learning, which developed online training tools for the US teacher market. Before that, he was a senior copywriter for TwoFish in Amsterdam, writing about products as diverse as fashion, motorbikes and cameras.
He's excited about bringing content strategy into the conversion optimisation and the content marketing fields, and thinks both of these fields complement each other - "the science of selling, the art of persuasion."
Outside of work, he likes to play the bodhrán (Irish drums) and the guitar, as well as urban cycling and travelling.
