Company Culture / A better place to work
What makes iQ a great place to work?
We work hard to find great people, and even harder to keep them. Here are some of the things we do to keep iQ a happy place:
Conferences, Training and Speaking
If any of our staff spot a course or a conference they're interested in, we'll send them along paying most of the way and giving them the days off to attend.
It's important to share as well as learn, so if anyone gets a speaking opportunity we'll pay for the whole thing. Location isn't an issue New York, Lisbon, San Francisco, Copenhagen and Paris are just some of the places our staff have chosen to go to.
iQ Library
We have an in-house library of over 350 books spanning design, innovation, analytics, content, business and development. We do a book buy each month where anyone can request a title, and books are available to take home.
Lunchtime Learning
On selected Fridays we try and get everyone in the office to combine, food, community and education. Sometimes iQ people share what they've learnt from recent conferences or projects, or we invite special guests along to talk about their topic of choice - we've learnt about everything from anthropology to remote user testing.
Social Nights
With projects both all over Ireland and abroad we make an effort to regularly get everybody together when they're in town. iQ nights out have involved comedy at Vicar St, fancy dinners and sampling German culture at Oktoberfest (the IFSC, not the Munich one!).
iQ Café
Our kitchen is always stocked for breakfast and lunch, with traditional treats to get people through the day. We're also serious about our coffee - our Nespresso machine works overtime, but we give it a break with frequent coffee runs down to Butlers.
iQ Gadgets
Everyone at iQ gets a laptop (we're 95% macbook pro) and we also have an iQ iPad which is available for use in the office or to take home.
