Programme - iQ Boot Camp 2008

This year's iQ Boot Camp runs over three days, and is composed of 18 half-day workshops, plus a half-day dedicated to future trends.

All workshops are standalone, but we’ve also organised our workshops into four streams, each addressing a crucial area of website optimization.

To make choosing your Boot Camp experience as easy as possible, we’ve also created sample itineraries, recommended selections of workshops grouped around common themes.

In addition, we’ve identified perfect partners for all workshops: complementary workshops that provide related information and skills, and are designed to deepen your expertise in a given topic.

The Workshops

iQ FutureNow Seminar

On the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd, we take a step out of the workshops and into the future. From 2-5pm, enjoy four illuminating talks that highlight emerging trends and technologies that you need to start thinking about.

4 speakers, 30 minutes each: all designed to strip away hype and provide you with concrete advice about emerging trends and technologies that you need to know about.

  • The mobile web and what it means for you and your website
  • Social networking: is it relevant for your business?
  • Future content: beyond text – video, blogging, podcasting
  • The future according to Google

In addition, to the workshops and the iQ FutureNow seminar, this year we've got a number of added extras, including:

  • iQ Clinics: One-on-one sessions to answer any specific questions you may have about your own website. These are free for all 3-day attendees.
  • Après Boot: A mid-conference party with a difference. Relax, unwind, share experiences and ideas, while enjoying the view over Dublin from the Radisson’s lofty Sky Bar.

Workshop format and deliverables:

3 days, 18 workshops, 1 seminar: all equates to an unmissable event.

All workshops run for about three hours, and are designed to be highly interactive, with a focus on hands-on learning through instruction, case studies, discussions, and best practice examples.

You'll also be provided with extensive take-home resources for each workshop, including detailed notes and handouts; references to useful online and offline information resources; templates and checklists; and a CD ROM containing all presentations, tools and resources (including case studies, articles and links).

How it works?

  • Decide which workshops interest you: Check through the workshop outlines, keeping an eye on the perfect partner recommendations to see which workshops complement each other.
  • Check there are no clashes in your preferred schedule: As workshops are sometimes running concurrently, some workshops are mutually exclusive. Check the agenda below to make sure your top workshop picks don't clash.
  • Decide how many days you'd like to attend: One, two or all three. But remember, the more days you attend, the more you learn and the greater discount you enjoy.
  • Choose your workshops: Choose one workshop from each morning and afternoon session from the days selected. Note: There is only one session on Wednesday afternoon – our much anticipated FutureNow seminar.
  • Complete the registration process to reserve your place on what promises to be the best web event of the year.
