We were at the Irish blog awards this Saturday evening in Galway city. The Irish blogosphere was silent that night (apart from an occasional tweet). All were packed 30 rows deep in the Radisson hotel for an evening of free rum, funeral processions, excessive smoke machine use and a star studded turn out, namely Rick O’Shea and the glamourous Panti (who scooped up ‘The Best Blog Post’ award for the flaming post – No more Mister Nice Gay – applause).
