It’s World Usability Day on November 12 and we’re celebrating with the launch of our very own user testing facility – the iQ Studio. We’re just a tad excited.

How to use our studio
You can book the iQ Studio for usability tests, focus groups, or market research.
The fancy stuff
Our studio is decked out with the latest equipment
- a 3 metre one-way soundproof viewing mirror
- DV-quality recording facilities
- a ceiling mounted camera with tilt, pan and zoom you can control from the viewing room
Check out the studio in action:

The important part: the part-y
We’ll be hosting a free launch party at iQ headquarters with short film/video screenings, wine tasting (or BYOB), music and other fun activities. Plus, Powerpoint Karaoke may be making an appearance.

All mirrors are one-way. I’m assuming you meant one-way glass.

Very cool lab. I think the part I like the most is how un-lab like it feels. Participant comfort is always at the most important top of mind concern and something like this definitely helps make it more approachable. But this is only my perception. I hope you guys can share what your experience has been like using the lab and what attributes make for a comfortable environment.
Cheers!

Well done guys, I really wish I was still in Dublin to see or use it first-hand.
All the best,
Eric

A bit garish for somewhere that’s supposed to be putting somebody at their ease, is it not? Reminds me rather too much of a dentist’s waiting room!

Hi Jacko,
come on by and take a look – not garish at all and we promise you’ll leave with a smile (and all your teeth intact).
