Web Analytics & the spare iPhone

Taking up from where Coldagh finished yesterday in “Web Analytics 101″, Brian Donohue is currently hosting an advanced session on the same subject.

iQ has seen far greater interest in analytics over the past year or so. It is clear that Irish organisations are moving beyond the “Wow, people in Cameroon are visiting my website”-factor. They are keen to understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as a business metric and how analytics supports that.

After speaking with delegates during coffee break, Brian’s insights appear to be addressing many issues.

It also transpired that a spare iPhone was needed to rescue.

With the large number of people attending, an insufficent number of laptops were available for web access. Ppotential disaster?

Not at all.

Into the breach stepped iQ Friend Ciaran Hagan. His recently purchased iPhone had everything needed to plug the gap.

Apple proves its worth once again.

Taking up from where Clodagh finished yesterday in “Web Analytics 101″, Brian Donohue is currently hosting an advanced session on the same subject.

Analytics interest grows and grows

iQ has seen interest in analytics grow significantly over the past year or so. It is clear that Irish organisations are moving beyond the “Wow, people in Cameroon are visiting my website“-factor.

They are now keen to understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as web metrics and how analytics adds to that picture.

After speaking with delegates during coffee break, Brian’s insights appear to be addressing many of their needs.

iPhone incident

It also transpired that a spare iPhone was needed to help deliver one module of the workshop.

With the large number of people attending, laptops with web access were stretched thin. Potential disaster?

Not at all.

Into the breach stepped “Friend of iQ” Ciaran Hagan. His recently purchased iPhone had everything needed to plug the gap. Wifi access and a big screen.

As a result, Brian is now an even greater fan of Apple than before - and that’s saying something.
