Great pictures Laurence. Was great speaking with you yesterday. Hopefully I’ll see you again at the next event.

Glad you all had fun. I felt duped out of a few hundred quid seeing as the thing was aimed at the perpetuation of the sponsoring companies with no real insight or enthusiasm on show. The bulk of the folk who attended looked largely lost.
The ‘Future of Search Engines forum’ and ‘Click fraud’ talks were okay. The ‘Developing for Search Engines’ talk, particularly the Q&A at the end, was cringeworthy. I spend 400 odd quid and what did I get? I (and others) had to field questions that the speakers couldn’t answer!
In the words of the late Steve Irwin… CRIKEY!
The most worrying thing about this is how people involved in SEO professionally are talking up this conference. It’s not lending their sector of the industry much credibility.

A bit late to this I know but as the speaker on the topic of “keywords” I thought there was a good mix of people attending. Some very technical, some not so. It’s always hard for a conference to get the mix right. Ken, maybe have a look at Webmasterworld.com’s PubCons. They’re normally very good & that might be more what you’re looking for.
